Arolla is a small mountain village, situated at an altitude of 2000m at the head of Switzerland's Val d'Hérens .It is a centre for walks to a number of mountain huts,for the Patrouille de Glaciers and for a large choice of excursions between Zermatt and Verbier.

It is the ideal place for anyone who loves the high mountains. .In winter there is skiing and snowshoeing;in summer ,hiking , climbing and mountain biking.

The Hotel du Glacier is on the edge of the village, only a minute away on foot from the shops and the post office, and 5 minutes from the ski slopes. There is a large parking area for customers, a café and a carnotzet. Its sunny terrace is an ideal spot on which to admire Arolla`s magnificent mountain panorama or to relive, with friends,the day`s activities
